6 months remain in 2009 so which BIG goal/intention do you still want to achieve?

Greetings!

I always set an intention to take 3 holidays (vacation) every year. So far, this is the 2nd time for the mid-year, pretty good eh! Eric and I wanted this to be a “DOING NOTHING” week as a celebration of our successes. Let’s have a glimpse of what we ended up doing in our “DOING NOTHING” week in the Canadian Rockies :)

Day 1 – Eat, sleep, eat, sleep, swim, eat, sleep more

Day 2 – Spa Day! I enjoyed the Mama Mia treatment (pre-natal massage, facial, and herbal soak!)

Day 3 – Eat, sleep, attended a Tranquil Meditation, and “The Art of Chocolate Tasting” (Great way to learn about my chocolate IQ, nuances of chocolate production and perfect evening for 3 rounds of chocolate tasting!)

Day 4 – Attended “Understanding Your Dreams” workshop. Eric has a background in “Lucid Dreaming.” We learned a proven method to recall, record, and understand dreams.

Day 5 – eat, sleep, eat more, swim at Fairmont Hot Springs

Day 6 – Couples retreat! Another session of relaxation massage :)

Day 7 – head back home and attended Stuart Wilde’s Grace, Gaiea, and the end of days event

Well, depending on your perspective, you can say we either have a successful or unsuccessful week with our “DOING NOTHING” holiday! As for me, it was a perfect time to rejuvenate our quality time together after moving to a new city and house renovations plus the business aspects of our lives :)

For the remainder of the year, Imagine it’s December 31, 2009. That’s 6 months from now… Your business, career or life’s work has really taken off and your vision for it has become a reality. Briefly describe what your business looks like including what you are doing, where you are working, how much you are earning, and other significant details of your work lifestyle and financial status.

I’ve learned this from one of my business coaches, Andrew Barber-Starkey, taking action now!

Here’s what his organization ProCoach International has to say:

“You have probably heard business coaches and success gurus emphasize the importance of becoming “action-oriented” or “pro-active.” You may experience resistance when you hear these words, as if they are suggesting you are not doing enough already and that you need to work harder. Yet they are right. Whether you resist it or not, the fact remains that becoming successful requires you take a lot of inspired action!

W. Clement Stone, who started selling insurance in the 1920’s and built his fortune to over $1billion, believed that having a propensity to take action was the single most important ingredient in his success. He required all his employees to recite the phrase, “Do it now!” over and over at the start of every work day.

Why taking action is important

One of the great myths of today’s success culture is that it is possible to achieve significant personal and financial success quickly and with minimal effort. In reality this is not true. Bring to mind some people you know who are currently building successful businesses or streams of income. How many of them sit back and wait for things to happen? The answer most certainly is “none of them.” Why? Because there is a Universal Law that says, “No action, no results!” It really is that simple.

The benefits of the action habit

Getting yourself into action has a tremendous impact because it affects your results on multiple levels. At the most basic level, when you take action, things happen. Every action you take moves you a step closer to achieving your goals and the sooner you take action the sooner you will reach the success you are seeking.

But taking action does much more than advance you towards your destination in a linear fashion. Do you remember Newton’s Law of Inertia? It states that an object at rest will stay at rest unless acted upon by an outside force, and an object in motion will remain in motion unless it encounters an external and opposing force. When you take action on something, you generate momentum. This means that in addition to the results you create immediately, the impact of your actions carries forward over time. Take further action and the effect is cumulative. The more action you take the more momentum you generate.

Another benefit of being action – oriented is that it causes LAW OF ATTRACTION to work in your favor. As a “make it happen” person you will naturally attract the attention of other people who want to make things happen. They will notice your energy and will bring you opportunities. This will create an upward spiral in your momentum.

Yet another benefit of taking action is that it impacts your self – image. Once you develop the habit of taking action you will see yourself as a person who get things done. This will encourage you to take even more action, further accelerating your progress and building your confidence.

Are You Soaring Or Snoring? Handstand Or Quicksand - You Make The Call!

Eva Gregory, CPCC

Are you greeting each new day with optimism and energy or are you feeling a bit lackluster? Are you dragging in the morning, slogging through mental, physical, and emotional quicksand throughout your work day, when school lets out, or any of those other times you want – and need - to be bright, cheery, energetic?

Whether one is in transition or not, there are times in our lives when we lack that extra oomph, that shine, that spark that makes all things possible – even doable. Why is that?

The reasons can be one or several: career, relationships, finances, home life, health, school, fitness, schedules and time crunches, commutes, even the people we interact with on a regular basis. Any, some, or all can cause us to feel wiped out, depressed, stressed, discouraged, hopeless, exhausted, daunted, downtrodden. We know we should just simply ‘dig deep,’ rise above, and push onward and upward. Yet, at times in our lives, due to one or a set or circumstances and conditions that have changed or added up over time, it can feel nearly impossible to find that spark to drag ourselves out of the perceived muck. We have succumbed to energy drains – whether person, place, thing, circumstance – and need to get our groove back on! This may seem impossible if one is having a hard time finding the energy to pack a lunch AND water the plants.

It can happen to any of us. Take Helen, a single mother of a young boy, who gets up at the crack of dawn to dress, prepare herself and her son for the day, get him to the sitter, then commute 45 minutes to her job. During her work day, she thinks of her son often, feeling sadness that she can’t spend more time with him and worrying that she’ll miss so many milestones in his young life. Day’s end finds her doing the same in reverse: 45-minute commute, gathering son from sitter, arriving home to make dinner, spend a bit of time with her boy, and tend to household chores. Helen is as tired in the morning as she is a night; aware that she feels like she is not ‘running on all cylinders,’ she is trying to find light at the end of the seeming tunnel and knows something needs to change.

Conversely, we have Naomi, a stay-at-home Mom who left a very lucrative career about a year ago in order to be home full-time for her young daughter. Even though Naomi does not have to leave the house, she is finding it more and more difficult to even find the time to get dressed. Her daughter, Katie, seems to have so many needs and demands that Naomi is hard-pressed to get anything accomplished around the house and for herself during Katie’s waking hours. Naomi is exhausted, misses her career and coworkers, feels like she’s spinning her wheels, and is at her wits end. She’s not sure how, but knows she needs to get off of what she perceives to be a gerbil wheel of emotional hell.

Isn’t it odd how unique we are? It would seem that if Helen and Naomi traded places, all would be rosy and full of life’s passion. Since most of us know that is not realistic, what CAN we do to get our oomph back, banish the ‘quicksand,’ and once again, plant flowers?

Perhaps Helen can freelance or maybe her employer will let her outsource part of the work week, so she could perform her career tasks from home; she might be able to work evenings instead or cut back on her hours as well. Naomi may be able to hire a per diem nanny or place Katie in a play group or day care a few times a week; even an afternoon or two would free her to get groceries, clean house, enjoy some ‘me’ time, and even to find a way to re-enter the work force, either part-time or from home.

Both women are aware of how they are feeling and seem to know what is causing these energy drains, but what is the next step? The most important thing we can do when we all feeling the quicksand is to identify the problem – and then, choose a positive course of action with a positive attitude. We need to be able to identify the sources of our energy drains – and then find ways to say “No!” to them (or change our perspective about them) and say “Yes!” to our chosen solutions. How might we accomplish this?

Here’s an easy method:

Take a sheet of paper and draw two lines vertically from top to bottom, separating the page into three columns. On the left-most side, list those things, tangible or intangible, that you feel are sapping your energy. In the middle column, list any possible solutions for each item on the left. It’s okay to be creative. You are creating your own destiny here! Lastly, in the right-most column, jot down how you will feel when you have resolved the issue in the left-hand column. Spend some time with those positive feelings.

Energy, like water, seeks its own level. The Universe is always ready to help us, open doors, promote us, give us all we need – once we open ourselves to that vibrant flow of giving and receiving. It can not do that if we are looking down at our feet. Instead, identify your drains, choose to alter your course and/or your perception, and reach for the stars. If you have been missing out on that joie de vivre and zest for life, you are now in for a pleasant surprise! Seize the day.

Everything Happens By Exact Laws

Greetings!

There is really but one great and universal law: Everything is energy. In reality, the things we believe to be of material substance are actually impulses of energy and information.

Under this one great law there are seven subsidiary laws that align and coordinate. In other words, you will find that they are all interdependent and interrelated:

1. The Law of Perpetual Transmutation:

Energy is a constant state of transmission and transmutation. Energy is forever moving into form, through form, and back into form. Everything we see, hear, taste, touch, smell is in a constant state of change. Change is all there is.

2. The Law of Vibration:

Everything from thought to thing, from the electron to the cosmos, is in a constant state of vibration. There are millions and millions of varying degrees of vbiration whcih we call frequencies. The higher the frequency the more intense the vibration. Man, the earth, and the univesrse are all but varying degrees of the same scale. The only difference being the degree and rate of vibration. It is well known that X-rays and gamma rays can penetrate “solids.” Much like these rays, all matter becomes transparent to the vibration of thought. Thought is the most potent form of energy. Thought waves are cosmic waves that penetrate all time and space.

3. The Law of Relativity:

First articulated by Albert Einstein, this law is rarely understood in its fullness. Relativity says that ll that is only exists by comparison. In other words, “Relationships are everything…and Everything is due to Relationships.” Hot only exists because we compare it to cold… “good” exists by comparison to “bad” and so on. Everything in life “just is” unless and until we compare it to something. With true understanding of this law, we realize that nothing in life has any meaning, except the meaning we give it.

4. The Law of Polarity:

Everything in existence has its opposite and cannot exist otherwise. Consequently, all opposites are different manifestations of the same thing. Th eonly separation is by degree. For instance, there is no absolute hot or absolute cold. You cannot define where one begins and the other leaves off. Only by comparison (relativity) can you define each. Therefore, positive or negative (or any opposites you choose) cannot exist alone. High potential is always accompanied by a low potential, failure must be accompanied by the seed of success, and so forth.

5. The Law of Rhythm:

This law states that everything in existence is a dance. In other words, swaying, flowing, swinging back and forth. What may seem to be random is actually very orderly. Everything has an order, a rhythm and a pattern. Something must advance when anything retreats, high tide sweeps in…low tide sweeps out, something must rise when something sinks and so forth. This law is observed regularly in the rising and the setting of the moon, the ebb and flow of tides, the coming and going of seasons, the rhythmic swing of consciousness and unconsciousness. The Law of Rhythm can be compared to a pendulum which when swung to the left must come back to the right. You will have highs and lows intellectually, emotionally, and physically, however, through understanding, you can be at your best regardless.

6. The Law of Cause and Effect:
This law is a perpetual and never ending cycle. Every effect must have a cause, and in turn, every cause, an effect. Therefore, you will begin to understand that it is impossible to start a “new” chain of events. Nothing happens by chance, everything in the cosmos happens according to law. Consequently anything you may “cause” is actually the “effect” of something that came before.

7. The Law of Gender:
Nothing is ever created or destroyed. All so called “new things” are merely the results of changing something that already existed. This law governs what we call creation, and states that for anything to manifest it must have an incubation or gestation period. A baby takes nine months; plants, trees, flowers and corn all have their respective gestation. Gender is manifested in our world as the different sexes. For creation to take place the Law of Gender states that the male and female, yin and yang must unite. In order to reap you must first sow.

Abraham Hicks - About The Year 2012

Greetings!

I’ll be celebrating my 5th year anniversary living in Canada on May 3! To recap, it had been a very wonderful journey. Now I’m ready for more, more, more! Hey, 2012 is coming! These are the principles I live by that made all these memorable five years really magical:

Ten Good Ideas (The Recipe for Eternal Joy)

Seek joy – first and foremost.
Seek reasons to laugh.
Seek reasons to offer words of praise – to self and others.
Seek beauty in nature, beasts (animals), and other humans.
Seek reasons to love. In every segment of everyday – look for something that brings forth within you a feeling of love and appreciation.
Seek that which uplifts you.
Seek opportunity to offer that which uplifts another.
Seek a feeling of Well – being.
Know that your value can only be measured in terms of joy.
Acknowledge your absolute freedom to do any of these things or to not do any of these things – for it is, without exception, your choice in every moment of every day.
That is the recipe for eternal joy. And it will provide a format for a life of dramatic, magnificent creating, also. That feels like the “bottom line” to you: “How much success, or how much acclaim…how much value can I offer here and now?” And what we are wanting you to understand is that your value can only be measured in terms of joy.

Once you get upon that path where you are seeking and finding – you are abundant with joy. You see, the nice thing about this offering is that you cannot seek something without finding it. It cannot be. For that which you are asking for is always that which is coming to you. – Abraham – “A New Beginning II”

How To Create An Empowering Vision Book

How to Create an Empowering Vision Book
You are the author... just add dreams!

In the last edition of Success Strategies we discussed how tapping into the powers of the brain with visualization so it will begin to function as if your goals are already attained.

Your brain will work tirelessly to achieve the statements you give your subconscious mind. And when those statements are the affirmation of your goals, you are certain to achieve them!

Creating a vision book is probably your most valuable visualization tool!

This powerful visualization tool serves as your image of the future - a tangible representation of where you are going. It represents your dreams, your goals, and your ideal life.

Because your mind responds strongly to visual stimulation--by representing your goals with pictures and images you will stimulate your emotions... and your emotions are the vibrational energy that activates the Law of Attraction.

Create a personal vision book that clearly depicts the future you wish to create.

Find pictures that represent or symbolize the experiences, feelings, and possessions you want to attract into your life, and place them in your book. Have fun with the process! Use photographs, magazine cutouts, pictures from the Internet--whatever inspires you. Be creative. Include not only pictures, but anything that speaks to you.

Consider including a picture of yourself in your book. If you do, choose one that was taken in a happy moment. You will also want to post your affirmations, inspirational words, quotations, and thoughts here. Choose words and images that inspire you and make you feel good.

You can use your vision book to depict goals and dreams in all areas of your life, or in just one specific area that you are focusing on.

Keep it neat, and be selective about what you place in your vision book. It's a good idea to avoid creating a cluttered or chaotic book--you don't want to attract chaos into your life.

Use only the words and images that best represent your purpose, your ideal future, and words that inspire positive emotions in you. There is beauty in simplicity and clarity.

If you are working on visualizing and creating changes in many areas of your life, then you may want to use more than one vision book. You might use one vision book for your personal goals and another for career and financial goals. You might even want to keep your career vision book at the office or on your desk as a means of inspiration and affirmation.

How to use your vision book.

Try keeping your vision book on the nightstand next to your bed. Leave it standing in an open position as often as you are comfortable with, and spend time each morning and evening visualizing, affirming, believing, and internalizing your goals.

The time you spend visualizing in the evening just before bed is especially powerful. The thoughts and images that are present in your mind during the last forty-five minutes before going to sleep are the ones that will replay themselves repeatedly in your subconscious mind throughout the night, and the thoughts and images that you begin each day with will help you to create a vibrational match for the future you desire.

As some time goes by, and your dreams begin to manifest, look at those images that represent your achievements, and feel gratitude for how well the Law of Attraction is working in your life. Acknowledge that it is working.

Don't remove the pictures or images that represent the goals you've already achieved.

Achievement of the goals in your vision book are powerful visual reminders of what you have already consciously and deliberately attracted into your life.

I recommend you write down the date you created your vision book. The universe loves speed, and you will be amazed at just how quickly the Law of Attraction responds to your energy, commitment, and desires.

Much like a time capsule, this book will document your personal journey, your dreams, and your achievements for that particular year. It will become a record of your growth, awareness, and expansion that you will want to keep and reflect back upon in years to come.

Final thoughts on using your completed vision book:

Look at your vision book often and feel the inspiration it provides.
Hold it in your hands and really internalize the future it represents.
Read your affirmations and inspirational words aloud.
See yourself living in that manner.
Feel yourself in the future you have designed.
Believe it is already yours.
Be grateful for the good that is already present in your life.
Acknowledge any goals you have already achieved.
Acknowledge the changes you have seen and felt.
Acknowledge the presence of God in your life.
Acknowledge the Law of Attraction at work in your life.
Look at it just before going to bed and first thing upon rising.
I hope I've inspired you to create your own vision book and start implementing what you learned from today's message.

See it. Feel it. Believe it!

A -to- Z Steps To A Richer Life

Greetings!

My Million Dollar Speaking Coach taught me there are 3 ways I can share information:

1. Being an expert
2. Being a student
3. Being a reporter

I am taking on the shoes of the 3rd way (being a reporter) in this writing. I saw Deepak Chopra in person last week and purchased his Creating Affluence CD. In it “lies the secret to creating unlimited wealth. With clear and simple wisdom, Deepak Chopra explores the full meaning of wealth consciousness and presents a series of simple steps and everyday actions that create affluence and fulfillment in all areas of our lives. From becoming aware of all possibilities to experiencing zest and joy in life, these uncommon insights gently foster the wealth consciousness needed to spontaneously and joyfully fulfill our desires.” Learning is more effective if we use more senses, so I’ve listened to it and now I’m writing this down to share with you so it can benefit myself as well as others 

Are you ready for creating affluence?!?

Here are the A -to- Z Steps/Attitudes To A Richer Life:

A – all possibilities, authority, absolute, affluence, abundance. We can create ANYTHING! Ultimate authority;

B – better and best. Settle for the BEST. Go first class all the way and the universe answer by giving you the BEST! Evolution implies that we get better and better in every way with time.

C – carefreeness and charity. Wealth consciousness is a state of mind. Sharing. Source from which it all comes is abundant.

D – law of DEMAND and supply; DHARMA, each of us has a purpose in life, we enjoy and love our work, create and foresee that DEMAND for which you come here, offer that demand and the supply is guaranteed.

E – exalting in the success of others.

F – FACT in every failure is the seed of success.

G – gratitude, generosity, God, goal, gap. The principle of the highest first is GOD. Relinquish attachment to the goal – the goal is in the gap:

Step 1: Slip into the gap between thoughts. The gap is the corridor.
Step 2: You have a clear intention of a clear goal in the gap.
Step 3: Relinquish attachment to the outcome.
Step 4: Let the universe handle the details. Ask and you shall receive.

H – happiness and humanity, we are here to make all human we came in contact with HAPPY.

I – power of unbending INTENT, impossible to go back, well defined purpose, you must INTEND it and make a decision to go for it, unchangeable, fixity of purpose not countermanded by anything! The universe handle all the details, we have to be alert to these opportunities.

J – not necessary to JUDGE. Get away from definitions and labels that create turbulence in our internal dialogue.

K – organizing part is inherent in KNOWLEDGE.

L – love and luxury, love yourself, customer, audience, love everybody, the world. Also adapt luxury sets preamble/precondition for the flow of wealth. Luxury is our natural state.

M – help others make MONEY. Helping other people fulfill their desires to ensure you’ll make money for yourself.

N – saying NO to negativity.

O – is the life is the co- existence of OPPOSITE values, joy and sorrow, up and down, here and there, birth and death. All experience is by contrast. One will be meaningless without the other. A wise man born from birth will never know the meaning of darkness. We become non – judgemental when we see this co-existence.

Also stands for Opportunity and OPEN and honest communication. This opens the channels to realize opportunities.

P – pure potentiality and purpose in life. We are here to fulfill our purpose. This leads to insight we are true potentiality.

Q – to QUESTION dogma, ideology, outside authority. It is only by questioning what people take for granted that we can break through the hypnosis of social conditioning.

R – RECEIVING is as necessary as giving.

S – Spending and SERVICE, money like blood it must FLOW, it must flow to grow, money is life energy for the service we provide to universe. It must circulate.

T – TRANSCENDENCE, Timeless awareness, TALENT bank, Tithing, without transcendence life has no beauty, we must go beyond all boundaries. Timeless awareness is the awareness of the self. I don’t worry about the past and not fearful of the future as I am concentrated in the present. This is the state of bliss. This is intuition and heart. Talent Bank more than the sum of the part. Tithing giving away a certain portion of income without strings attached.

U – Understanding the unity behind all diversity.

V – values, truth, devotion, beauty.

W – wealth consciousness without worries. Absence of money worries. There is inexhaustible source of money.

X – expressing honest appreciation and thanks for all who help us

Y- youthful vigor. We feel energetic and powerful

Z – zest for life! Appreciate life in all it’s vitality and exuberance. Face the unknown with carefreeness and possibilities.

Be happy and free!

Have a better and better day!
